The roles, responsibilities and duties of a Security Officer can be performed in many different sectors and varying roles. This Position Description outlines the general duties in line with specific role types and acts as a guide rather than a comprehensive list of tasks.

• Ongoing work in East Burwood for Security Officers
• Rotational roster - your choice to pick between 3.30pm - 11.30pm & 11.30pm - 7.30pm
• Pay rates - $27 per hour plus super and shift penalties where applicable

About the role The position is primarily responsible for providing a security presence whilst remaining alert and focused. You will be part of an enthusiastic, committed and customer focused team. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all our customers, and you will build strong relationships with your internal stakeholders. Duties in the role:

• Provide concierge duties
• Monitor CCTV footage to ensure that assets are protected, to detect any signs of a security breach
• Create and issue access passes for contractors, clients and customers on site
• Signing visitors in/out of the premises
• Maintain logs, completing necessary paperwork and use of computer systems
• Respond professionally, courteously and promptly to all customer enquiries

Skills & experience

• Concierge and/or reception/front of house experience
• Current VIC Security Licence with control room licence
• Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations
• Victorian drivers’ licence
• Current First Aid and CPR
